OHRC ER (Emergency and Resuscitation ), the first point of contact in cases of any medical or surgical emergencies, has been a 24/7 service for the past 26 years. It is a well-equipped division with highly competent emergency physicians and nurses who deal with all kinds of emergency cases, including poisoning, polytraumas, pediatric, and obstetric conditions with state-of-the-art facilities. The emergency doctors, along with the surgical team, are available around the clock to attend to any surgical procedure, with urgent blood or radiological investigations done at the bedside, saving time and lives . It is an advantage to have 24-hour CT scan and MRI facilities. Our care starts from the place of the accident or an emergency , with highly trained, experienced, and compassionate paramedical staff, emergency technicians, and ambulances . Depending on the condition, intensive care is provided with the uninterrupted availability of expert staff.
The emergency department at OHRC is a well equipped 30 bedded setup in accordance with recent guidelines with dedicated triage areas, operation theatres, a labor room, emergency ICU etc.
Emergency Department at OHRC is well equipped with all the important tests done at initial point of contact such as arterial blood gas, complete blood count, cardiac troponin, X ray and of course ultrasound. This ensures that majority of work-up for the patient is done within minutes in the department itself, enabling us to start critical and life saving treatment immediately.
